How do I use wardWatch?

wardWatch is a website, that can be used on computers, tablets and smart phones.
This article shows the basics of getting you started with wardWatch – currently available in Ninewells Hospital.

wardWatch is designed to be as easy to use as possible, if you are struggling we want to know to make it easier!

Logging in requires you to either be signed up with ourselves or have access through the University of Dundee UniFi system (which will be online shortly!). You can view what wards are open or closed from the main screen by the colour of the ward number.

Red = Closed

Amber = Busy

Green = Open

If you want to find out more about the ward or find someone to contact – click on that ward. This shows you what medical staff, charge nurse and ward admin are attached to the ward. Any queries with teaching or sessions not happening contact the ward admin.

This data is currently being updated all the time – so if it isn’t there get in touch and we will get it online as soon as possible.

If you are on the ward and there are so many students that you can’t see patients or there are no patients suitable to see - we would class that as busy. There are loads of reasons are ward might be busy (see this post) – we would ask you to use some common sense so that everyone can access clinical learning.

We are keen to know what you think of this – so please get in touch!
